BEC BISHOP - Physiotherapist

Bec is passionate about providing services within children's natural environment and working in a collaborative manner to assist families and their children participate fully in home and community life.

 

Bec is a physiotherapist with over 15 year’s experience, having graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne in 2004.  Bec developed a passion for working in paediatrics very early on in her career and has had significant experience working in early childhood intervention services both in Melbourne and Adelaide, as well as working privately treating paediatric patients within the community including school settings.  In addition, Bec has been both a team leader of an early childhood intervention service, leading a team of allied health staff. Bec is committed to her ongoing professional development and has completely a wide variety of courses including training in neuro-developmental therapy (NDT).

Bec has extensive experience working with a variety of paediatric conditions such as developmental delay, physical disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, as well as genetic or chromosomal abnormalities.  Bec is also highly experienced in equipment prescription and is passionate about ensuring the participation goals of the child and family are met.
