APARNA KELAIYA - Physiotherapist

Aparna is passionate about working with young children in their most natural settings and loves combining her knowledge to make therapy fun. She has a special interest in all aspects of child development and inclusion of children with all abilities.

Aparna completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in India in 2004 and worked with a variety of settings including early Intervention and community based therapy centres in Mumbai before making the big move to Australia in 2007. Since then she has completed a great variety of professional developmental courses at the Westmead Children's hospital, The Royal Children's hospital and the Monash University Paediatric modules.  

Aparna has gained experience working across all age groups in the disability sector both in New South Wales and Victoria. Her expertise includes supporting children with neurological conditions like cerebral palsy, acquired brain injuries, muscular dystrophy, genetic conditions like down's syndrome, global developmental delay and orthopaedic conditions. She also has experience prescribing complex equipment like standers, seating systems and walkers.

Outside of work, Aparna enjoys spending time with her two young children, trying her hand at cooking and listening to Bollywood music.
