Santhiya enjoys working collaboratively with families to achieve their goals, no matter how small or big. She is passionate about helping children maximise their physical potential and empowering families in their role to achieve this.

Santhiya is a physiotherapist with 8 years’ experience, over half of that working with children and their families. She graduated from La Trobe University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. From early on, Santhiya had a keen interest in working with children, and since graduating has completed several courses including Bobath and NDT (Neuro Developmental Therapy) short courses, numerous paediatric APA (Australian Physiotherapy Association) courses and Monash University Paediatric Physiotherapy Modules.

Santhiya has worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) and the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) over the last few years, helping children with complex medical backgrounds and injuries. Her continued positive working relationship with RCH colleagues serves in collaborative, holistic care.

Santhiya has experience working in a variety of settings including special education, acute paediatric inpatient wards, PICU (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit), inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and private practice. Santhiya has a strong passion for working with children with neurological and orthopaedic injuries/conditions requiring rehabilitation.
